The powder creates a velvety finish whilst being very light and comfortable to wear. It doesn’t at all look cakey, but gives the effect of un-made-up skin on a good day.
I wore this powder/shade before switching to the white/transparent, and switched back recently. I use this to take the edge off of the shine on my nose and set my unCoverUp concealer. I'm happy with it. It will 'matte' you but not cake you; it will even you out lightly and nicely. Again, it just takes the edge off any unevenness and enhance your complexion.
I recently had a one2one consult where the person I worked with showed me how to use the powder puff and that made a big difference for me in terms of application and how much I liked the product. I think it does a good job and keeps the areas I'd like pretty matte without looking too cakey. I use the 0-1 shade and use 11.5 in uncoverup. I do not like the packaging, which is plastic, and when I run out of this product, I will switch to a brand with reusable packaging for their face powder. I hope RMS will start making reusable packaging for their products and/or start a recycling program.
I bought this powder to help layer with my un-cover up and it works great. I mainly use it in the corner of my eyes and in the center of my eyelid. It helps keep my un-cover in place throughout the day. My skin is more oily than dry, so this has helped keep my makeup looking fresh. If you do like more of a sheen to your makeup then use the powder sparingly.
After trying the non-tinted powder, I went and bought the 2-3 tinted un-powder. I dig it, and it’s just right! I use it to spot-set where I need it over my dark spots(that I applied un-cover in 33 to). It adds just a little more coverage but isn’t chalky and blends in well.
