After speaking with a consultant, I use both. . . beauty oil first, then the 30spf (which acts as a great primer), and then 50spf mixed some radiance base when I need more sun protection. "This is called a "tinted moisturizer," but it is actually a medium coverage foundation. It is called a "lightweight," but it is not lightweight. If you are looking for a medium coverage foundation with spf 50, I would recommend this. It has a pretty finish on my oily, dehydrated, 55+ y. o. skin."
"I'm between 00 and 11 in most RMS products. In this one, the shade alabaster is too light, and the next shade up claims to be warm-toned. I'm not. I could get away with using the alabaster shade in winter with a bronzer. I bought this expecting summer use. In summer I tan a bit more and I don't use as much makeup. The only way can I see this working is to buy the next shade up and mix them, but that turns this into a $90 product that I likely can't use up in time."
