"'The look is moonlit skin with a beautiful glow to it,' makeup artist Lucia Pieroni said backstage at Alexander McQueen.
She applied RMS Beauty Oil
all over the face with highlights of RMS Master Mixer
. Pieroni then created a smoky eye using MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack — both on the waterline and to tint the lashes — followed by a blend of RMS Eye Polish in Lunar
color and Karma shade pushed into the lash line and blended out. She followed with a touch of Egyptian Magic for additional sheen. Lips were blushed with an RMS prototype shade of pink. 'The girls have been out at an amazing party so their makeup is a bit smudged,' she explained.
Guido Palau crafted 'pinky romance' hair using Redken products. He applied Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam and rough-dried the lengths using Wind Blown 05 Dry Finishing Spray. He divided them into two sections at the back, crossing one under the other — secured at the front with bobby pins. Then he loaded the hair with earrings, bracelets, brooches and chains 'like your mother’s dressing table jewelry — the more the better. I’m magpie-ing — getting as much in as I can.'
'Before I first spoke to Sarah [Burton], I’d seen this amazing woman in my local drugstore on Eighth Avenue whose head was covered in cheap diamanté clips and it looked so beautiful,' he noted."
