Sensitive Skin Sunscreen

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Mineral sunscreen is actually the best choice for sensitive skin. It sits on the skin's surface and reflects UV rays rather than absorbing chemicals into the bloodstream. Zinc oxide rarely causes irritation and is safe for eczema-prone, reactive, and compromised skin. All three of our formulas use non-nano zinc oxide that's dermatologist-tested and hypoallergenic.
Chemical UV filters (like oxybenzone and octinoxate), synthetic fragrances, parabens, and phthalates commonly trigger reactions in sensitive skin. Our collection avoids all of these. We use only non-nano zinc oxide for protection, natural essential oils (never synthetic fragrance), and clean ingredients like niacinamide and organic jojoba oil that actually soothe skin.
Not if you choose the right formula. Our products are non-comedogenic and silicone-free (except where intentional). They won't clog pores or trap bacteria. SunCoverup and Supernatural are lightweight and blendable. ReFresh is specifically formulated for the delicate eye area. All three include skin-soothing ingredients like Bisabolol and niacinamide.
Every 2 hours, or immediately after swimming, sweating, or toweling off. Sensitive skin needs consistent protection to prevent UV damage, which accelerates irritation and visible aging. Reapplication also ensures your SPF stays at peak effectiveness. Keep sunscreen accessible so reapplication feels easy, not like a chore.
Both are safe for sensitive skin when formulated correctly. SPF 30 filters 97% of UVB rays, ideal for daily indoor/outdoor wear. SPF 50 filters 98%, better for extended outdoor time or beach days. Neither is "too strong" for sensitive skin. Choose based on your sun exposure, not sensitivity level. Our Supernatural (SPF 30) works for daily wear; SunCoverup (SPF 50) for higher exposure.
Absolutely. Supernatural and ReFresh work beautifully as a base layer under concealer, foundation, or powder. Apply, allow 30-60 seconds to set, then layer makeup. SunCoverup provides light tint on its own and can replace foundation for a minimal makeup day, or wear it under fuller coverage. All three are lightweight enough that makeup won't feel heavy or cakey on top.
