How to Get the Viral Espresso Makeup Trend

Move over, latte makeup. As we’ve seen on TikTok this holiday season, it’s all about the espresso makeup—and we’re totally here for it.
Espresso makeup is similar to the creamy browns and golds of latte makeup, but with a darker, sultrier twist. Think swapping the toasted golden milk and warming caramels for bitter chocolate and dark-roasted beans.
Getting this deliciously java look with our clean beauty is easy—follow along below.

Step 1: Line Eyes (and Lips)
Taking our Straight Line Kohl Pencil in Bronze Definition, line the top lash and inside the water line, as well as along the bottom lash line. Smudge it out for a lived in look. Then, take the same pencil and line your lips, filling in to make the color last. (This pro tip came from one of our Artist Experts, Zoe O —check it out here).

Step 2: Go for the Gold
Depending on how deep you’re wanting to go, tap Spark (a bronzed plum with a hint of violet), Halo (a rich, ruby brown), or Supernova (a sterling chocolate) on the lid, blending out quickly before it dries. Then, using the Eye Polish Brush, smudge underneath the bottom lash line for a pop of color.

 

Step 3: Get Deep
