In an increasingly digitized world, technological advances that used to seem like futuristic fiction are advancing closer and closer to reality. Virtual programs which allow us to preview paint colors in our living room or whether a haircut will be flattering are becoming more and more accessible . Nobumichi Asai takes this idea to the next level using projection mapping to superimpose CGI images onto a human face.
Obviously this technique doesn't actually apply the makeup automatically but it is an interesting concept, combining technology and the creative arts. Imagine following the guidance of the projected image to apply your makeup yourself. With this technology, you could be your own professional makeup artist!
